ACTION FOR CHILDREN

Choosing a word for today is easy - passion. From the outset of today’s Practice Development Workshop the genuine passion that flowed when considering the best way to help children who Action for Children have responsibility for was incredible.

It was the first time I had met Paul Carberry, the Director of Action for Children and Mike Burns, the Assistant Chief officer for Children’s Services in Glasgow and wow - what a powerful combination to lead this outstanding agency. The sense of responsibility shown all the way from the strategic side through to the practitioners who work with families was impressive.

I was privileged to share an energised morning and proud to deliver a Communication Masterclass to staff from across Scotland. Thank you to each and every person for being involved in discussion and keeping the morning so interactive. Keep doing what you do. Thanks also to Dawn for the invitation to speak at the event and for our selfie :-)

THE PERFORMANCE PROJECT
Yesteday I travelled to London for a meeting then on to Haywards Heath to work with Jerome Bolzeand his team.

We did a lot in our 4 hours today from communication foundations through to the more strategic elements and it was fabulous to share time with each and every trainer. An impressive team that strikes that great balance between professionalism and high standards with care and consideration. Their clients love them and it’s easy to see why.

Thank you for all you added to the day ladies and gents, for making me feel welcome and for looking after me so well

UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS

Today I had the pleasure of supporting the School Of Management MX Programme by delivering a communication masterclass to around 150 international graduates in St Andrews.

Thank you everyone for a great afternoon ..... which extended in to evening !! (Always a good sign when there’s a desire to learn more) - meaningful, light, essential, so important, engaging, professional and ‘the best yet’ ....... all very kind comments as we rounded off the session.

Particular thanks to Maka, Max and Laurie for your kind welcome.

ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS - GLASGOW
Dentistry has its share of challenging situations and today I spent an afternoon sharing some communication options that will help when conversations need that extra bit of consideration.

It is always a joy to work with professionals who help others and to deliver my work in such a beautiful building added an extra sparkle to the session.

Time to go home after two fulfilling days 😇 I love my work 💜
